Jammu Kashmir Premier League: Birch Blasters Burzahama, Ali Jana CC emerge victorious

Srinagar: Birch Blasters Burzahama and Ali Jana CC win their matches of the ongoing Jammu Kashmir Premier League t-20 cricket tournament played at Green Valley Educational Institute here on Friday.
The first match was played between Birch Blasters Burzahama and SSCC Bemina.
After winning the toss, Birch Blasters Burzahama opted to bat first and posted a formidable total of 283 runs for the loss of 6 wickets on the board. Middle order batsman Faisal Dar played a pivotal role in keeping the scoreboard ticking by playing a 21 ball cameo scoring quick fire 79 runs, He was ably supported by Waseem Ahmad scored 61 runs of just  33 balls.  For SSCC Bemina Owais Khan was the pick of the bowlers claiming two wickets.
Chasing the target, SSCC Bemina could score 164 runs. Irfan Mir 50 of 41 balls and Faizan Ahmad 48 runs of 29 balls emerged as highest run scorers. For Birch Blasters Burzahama Ishtiyaq Rasool bagged two wickets.
Faisal Dar for his outstanding performance was declared as Man of the Match.
The second match was played between Emmsons City Hunks and Ali Jana CC. Ali Jana CC won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a target of 199 runs. Muneeb Munaf (50 of 35 balls) and Aqib Mir (45 of 33 balls) were among the leading run scorers. For Emmsons City Hunks Omar Alam and Abid Mushtaq  took two wickets each.
Chasing a target of 199 runs, Emmsons City Hunks were bowled out for 135 runs. Afnan and Gulzar scored 26 runs for their team.
Ritik and Aqib Mir took chipped in with three wickets each for Ali Jana CC. Aqib Mir for his outstanding all-round performance was adjudged as man of the match.
