SRINAGAR: SMC Commissioner suspends two ward officers for negligence and dereliction of duties..

The corporation conducted an extensive demolition drive against illegal and unauthorised construction in Lawaypora, Mujgund area. Illegally constructed shops and other structures were immediately demolished.

Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan suspended the ward officer of Lawaypora for dereliction of duty.

The ward officer has been attached with the sanitation officer.

The commissioner SMC has made it clear that illegal construction would not be allowed and connivance or negligence on part of SMC officials will be dealt with strongly. Besides ward officer Lawaypora, SMC Commissioner has also suspended ward officer Magarmal bagh for negligence and dereliction of duty.
