Kupwara: An unidentified lady died after being hit and killed by a passenger cab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday noon.
Officials said that an unidentified lady was hit by a passenger cab bearing registration number JK05J-4544 in Bramri area of Kupwara on Kupwara Sopore road Friday noon. She was shifted to district hospital Handwara where she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
They said that police register a case under relevant sections of law and arrested the driver and seized the vehicle on spot, they added that police took the body into their custody and efforts are on to identify the deceased, however she was not identified when last reports came in, as per police she is aged between25 to 30.
