Srinagar: Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department and Law Enforcement Agency launched a valley wide inspection drive to monitor the quality and distribution of Agricultural inputs among the farming community.
Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal framed special teams under the supervision of Joint Directors of the department who were assigned with the districts to monitor the sampling by the enforcement wing of the department & the teams visited various Pesticides / Fertilizer / Seeds dealers of the valley.
During the inspection of the dealers in the valley, 226 no. of samples of Pesticides / Fertilizers / Seeds were drawn randomly by the enforcement inspectors and were sent to different notified Quality control laboratories.
