Zila Sainik Welfare Board celebrated its 68th Raising Day at Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Zila Sainik Welfare Office/Board (Srinagar) was established on 23 June 1953 for the welfare and resettlement of Ex Servicemen/widows and their wards of Kashmir Division .This day (23 June) is observed as Raising Day of ZilaSainik Welfare Office (Srinagar).
A programme was held at the SainikBhawan (Srinagar) to observe the Raising Day. Army/Civil dignitaries, Veterans and Veer Naris attended the function. During the interaction with the veterans /Widows they thanked the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, DC Srinagar, HQ 31 Sub Area and JAKLI Regimental Centre, for their initiatives taken for the welfare of Ex-Servicemen/Widows of the Kashmir Valley.Wheel chairs among specially abled ESM and wards and gifts to Veer Naris have been distributed. Commendations cards received from Divcom Kashmir have also been distributed among COVID Warriors (Veterans).
