BARAMULLA: A leopard attack on a flock of sheep in Tangmarg left a pile of twenty dead and many injured.
According to locals, more than one leopard entered into the shed housing the sheep of Mehraj-u-din Reshi of Rembalpora village in Tangmarg on Tuesday night and killed around 20 sheep and injured several others.
Soon after the incident the officials of the administration visited the spot and took stock of the situation.
Meanwhile, local people urged the administration to compensate the victim’s family and also appealed to the wildlife department to take immediate steps and catch the beasts in the area.
