KATHUA: Government Polytechnic College Kathua Tuesday organized an Online Webinar on ‘Emerging Trends in the Industry.’
The resource person for the webinar was Vipin Singh, CAD/CAM, Expert & Corporate Trainer from CADD Centre Training Services Pvt Ltd, Chennai. The webinar was attended by the faculty and students of various Polytechnic Colleges of J&K and was conducted under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Kathua.
In his address, the Principal emphasized the importance of such online webinars to make students aware about various new technologies and latest trends and software in engineering as per demand of industry.
In his presentation, Vipan Kumar explained in detail the various latest software used in the industry for designing, 3D modeling, drafting and manufacturing such as AutoCad, Creo, Pro-E, Catia, Solidworks, HyperMesh, Anysys.
Growing use of CAD software in industry has drastically speeded up design time and leads to new trends and new evolutions. The speaker focused on technical skill Domain and software Domain of Solidwork software in detail by explaining its use in various projects. He demonstrated the designing and modeling of an engine parts using the Solidwork software. The faculty and students were enlightened about the use of Solidworks as a very productive 3D CAD software tool used in manufacturing and design. The one-hour session was very interesting and interactive. The Students get an enriched experience through the interaction with the speaker by getting updated with the latest technologies and software used in industry.
Anjali Chopra, Center Head CADD center Jammu was the coordinator of the Online Webinar. Er Rishabh Gupta Lecturer, Govt. Polytechnic Kathua conducted the proceedings of the session and presented the vote of thanks.
