Drivers urge MC Magam to lift garbage from Taxi Stand

Budgam: The cab operators from the Shalimar Taxi Stand in Magam area in Central Kashmir Budgam demanded the Municipal Committee Magam lift the garbage from the main stand which had not been lifted by the MC Magam from the last three days.
The passengers and drivers from the Magam told Kashmir Reader that from the last three days the garbage has not been lifted from the main stand which is the main business hub for the people,traders and drivers.
” The stinky is coming from the garbage due to which the passengers and public are in distress,” they said.
Nissar Ahmad, one of the drivers, told the Kashmir Reader that from the last few days the garbage has not been lifted from the main stand. The drivers who are parking their vehicles in the main sumo stand are facing a lot of inconvenience in the area.
” Our stand is providing the services to the passengers to the various areas of the three districts including Baramulla, Srinagar and Budgam. Where the rush of the public remains very high as compared to the other stands of the Budgam, the cleanliness is least concern of the civic authorities, ” he said.
He said that the dogs oo are attracted to the garbage which has become threat for the general public which are visiting inside the sumo stand
” Now, we are requesting the concerned officials of the Municipal committee of the Magam for the lifting of the garbage. So, the drivers and passengers are relieved, ” Ahmad said.
Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee Magam, Syed Aijaz Manzoor told Kashmir Reader that he will look into the matter and will lift the garbage inside the main sumo stand Magam.
