DC Kupwara visits Nutnussa, reviews public issues, inspects ongoing vaccination process

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited block Nutnussa to take stock of the problems faced by the people.
During the visit, the DC also reviewed the progress of the 3.5 km road from Nutnussa to Kandi coming up under PMGSY at a cost of Rs.3.18 crore.
On the occasion, the people met the DC and projected their issue regarding the road.
The DC highlighted the benefits of better road connectivity for development of the area and stressed upon the people to cooperate with the administration so that road could be completed well in time without any hurdles.
The DC also inspected the lift irrigation scheme Nutnussa and directed the concerned engineers to ensure utilization of the scheme properly so that the catchment area of the scheme could get better irrigation facilities.
He also visited Health & Wellness Centre Nutnussa and inspected various sections of the centre. He reviewed the progress of the on-going vaccination process in the Wellness Centre and was informed that 2400 persons above 45 year age have been vaccinated so far in the centre. He also ascertained the staff strength and availability of doctors and paramedics.
Later the DC visited Trehgam and Kralpora to take stock of ongoing developmental works.
