2 drug peddlers in Srinagar, contraband recovered

Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Srinagar and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Police Party of Police Station Kothibagh led by SHO PS Kothibagh during checking near TRC apprehended two persons identified as Manpreet Singh son of Dilwandar Singh and Prince Sahota son of Pritam Singh both residents of Jalandhar. During checking, officers were able to recover 18.3Kgs of Fuki from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 48/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Kothibagh and investigation has been taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
