CRPF plants saplings at Pampore

PAMPORE: CRPF on Saturday organized a plantation drive at Galander in Pampore area on Saturday to commemorate World Environment Day.
The plantation drive was inaugurated by Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 Battalion in presence of second in Commandant, Deputy Commandant and other officers by planting a mulberry plant.
Nearly 500 saplings including mulberry, chestnut, pine and coniferous were planted along roadside and the banks of Jhelum river in Galander area of Pampore apart from the campus of 110 battalion CRPF headquarters Lethpora.
Talking to media persons Purohit said that the aim of CRPF is to make the surroundings clean, green and healthy by organizing such plantation drives from time to time.
He appealed to all to plant maximum trees for creating a green, clean and healthy environment and making a happier future.
