SRINAGAR: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police destroyed poppy cultivation in vast areas of land in Ganderbal and Pulwama districts.
In Ganderbal, a police party from Police Post Shadipora along with teams of Revenue and Excise Departments destroyed poppy cultivation on a massive scale in Wakura and Padampora areas of Ganderbal.
Similarly in Pulwama, during the past 7 days police destroyed poppy cultivation spread over vast areas of land in Sonachikoo, Abhama, Putrigam, Tahab Shadipora, Rajpora, Shahoora area district Pulwama.
General public of the area have appreciated the action of Police and have urged to continue such drive in nearby areas also.
