Sehrai’s wife suffers mild heart attack, says family

SRINAGAR: A day after her two sons were booked under UAPA for raising slogans at their father’s funeral, wife of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman late Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai suffered mild heart attack on Monday, a family member said.
Younis Rather, Sehrai’s son-in-law told Kashmir Reader that Sara Ashraf suffered mild heart attack in the afternoon when she learnt about her sons being booked booked under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
“She heard that her two sons have been booked under UAPA. She felt pain in her chest and was taken to hospital where doctors said she has suffered mild heart attack. Now she is home and stable. Doctors have advised to immediately refer her to hospital in case of complications,” he said.
According to him, he along with Sara’s grandson were present at home when she complained about chest pain.
Sehrai died in custody in Jammu a day after being shifted from Udhampur jail to Government Medical College Jammu on May 5.
