Covid-19 watch: Rs 6 fine lakh recovered from violators for defying lockdowns, SOPs in B’la

Baramulla: A fine of Rs 5,94,130 has been realised from the Covid 19 violators from March in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
They said that, Baramulla police has registered 63 cases against the Covid 19 violators and people who were not found wearing face masks besides 124 people have been arrested and released on bail from 30 March till date.
They said that 18 tippers, 43 Tractors, 01 trucks, 4 JCB machines, 12 LMV, 04 MMV vehicles, 03 coaching centres were also seized in the district till date.
They said that 3766 people were challenged for not wearing face masks and for the violation of Covid 19 protocol in the district.
Moreover, 37 shops were also seized in the different areas of the district, while a large number of people, including shopkeepers and others were warned in the district.
Recently, a photo in which senior superintendent of police (SSP) Rayees Ahmad Bhat urged a lady with folded hands to not move outside without any reason, went viral on social media sites.
The police again appealed to people to stay inside their homes and not to venture outside without emergency, till the end of the pandemic.
