3440 active cases in Baramulla, 2 succumb, toll reaches 222

Baramulla: There are 3440 active positive cases in north Kashmir Baramulla district so far while two more people lost their lives on Sunday and the toll of death reaches 222 in the district.
Officials said that including a traveller 252 new cases has been reported in Baramulla district on Sunday, 332 people recovered while as two people lost their lives in different hospital and the toll of death in the district reaches 222.
They said that there are presently three Covid care centres in district Baramulla including one in SDH Sopore with the capacity of 120 beds, second in indoor stadium degree college ground Khawajabagh Baramulla with the capacity of 120 beds and third one was inaugurated recently in GMC Baramulla with the capacity of 62 beds and six ventilator beds.
Moreover, a Nodal officer said that there are also four tries centres in district including in public health centre (PHC) Deluna, PHC Warikhah Boniyar, PHC Mohra Uri and PHC Tarzoo Sopore, where we are providing support to those patients who recovers in other hospitals, the army also provided us a 20 bedded centre in Baramulla.
Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner Baramulla Bopinder Kumar who is also district magistrate, orders the extension of Corona curfew in the district from 17 May 7am to 24 May 7am, however the essential services already permitted shall operate from 4 pm to 7pm in the district Baramulla.
Baramulla is the second district after Srinagar where a large number of people are in a grip of the pandemic with 222 people losing their lives.
