Two shopkeepers booked for violating lockdown in Pampore

PAMPORE: Two shopkeepers have been booked for violating the coronavirus lockdown restrictions in Saffron town Pampore, police said.
Police Pampore led by SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan during coronavirus Curfew found two shopkeepers violating government order/ SOP’s related to COVID-19 Pandemic.
They had opened their businesses despite the restrictions at Drangbal areas of Pampore on Sunday morning, SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad told Kashmir Reader.
The booked shopkeepers include Javaid Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Nabi, Konibal and Manzoor Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Samad, resident of Frestibal Pampore.
The police officer said a case FIR number 52/21 and 53/21 under section 188, 269,270 IPC stands registered against them at Pampore police station.
They warned that those found violating Covid-19 guidelines in the town will be strictly dealt with as per the law.
Police also panelised many people for not wearing face masks in a special drive in the town.
During the drive police Pampore fined violators more than 2,500 rupees for not wearing face masks in the Saffron town, police said.
