Baramulla: Nine people were booked, three tippers, three tractor vehicles and a JCB machine were sealed by the authorities in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday. Police said that after tips of information teams of police from Pattan, Tangmarg and in other areas, Singpora, Chandosa raided on the above locations and found a large number of people violating the SOP’s issued by the government. Police said that these people were found taking advantage of lockdown and were excavating soil from. Police said that besides heavy machinery, nine people have been booked and different cases have been registered against the violators.
Moreover, police said that people at several locations tried to violate the lockdown issued by the government, however teams police deployed did not allow them to do so.
The police again appealed to the general public to follow the SOP’s issued by the government.
