Police solves burglary case in Ganderbal

Accused arrested with stolen electronic goods

GANDERBAL: Police in Ganderbal have solved a burglary case and arrested three accused persons involved in the crime.
In a statement Police said that it received a complaint from Sahil Manzoor Baba regarding burglary in his electronic shop during the intervening night of 23rd and 24th April at Beehama chowk.
Accordingly, a case FIR No.58/2021 U/S 457,380 IPC was registered in PS Ganderbal and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, Srinagar Police shared a specific information that Batamaloo Police Station has learnt about three suspicious vendors selling electronic appliances on cheap rates. While enquiring into the circumstances, the officers discovered that the items being put to sale were proceeds of a criminal act and were decamped from an electronic store in Ganderbal.
Accordingly Ganderbal Police constituted a team headed by SHO PS Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP HQRs Ganderbal for effecting the arrest of accused burglars identified as Hashim Iqbal Sofi son of Mohd Iqbal Sofi, Raheel Hassan Sheikh son of Mohd Hussain Sheikh and Suhaib Shafi all residents of Saloora Ganderbal
Stolen electrical appliances worth Rs 3,22000 including mobile phones, torches, induction-heaters, USB cables, power banks, I pods, pendrive , LED bulbs, earphones, data cables, hair trimmers etc were also recovered on their disclosure.
