Sopore: A minor girl drowned in a local stream in the outskirts of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Sources said that a five years old girl identified as Rabiya Shabir of Zaloora Sopore who was at his relative’s home at Ningli area of Sopore had drowned in nallah Khrusu on Saturday evening and the authorities had started the rescue operation.
On Sunday morning the body of the minor girl was fished out from the stream and handed over to his parents after all legal formalities. Meanwhile a case has been registered and further investigation is on.
