Burglars loot eight shops in Kangan

Kangan: The burglars on Thursday night looted eight shops in Main Town Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The shopkeepers told Kashmir Reader that the thieves decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees besides cash from the eight shops in main town Kangan.
The frequent burglaries have triggered panic among shopkeepers in the town. Shopkeepers said we are really concerned over such incidents and demand stern action action against the culprits.
The shops which have been looted are mostly provisional stores besides a medical store and a mobile accessory shop.
Pertinently on 24 March burglars stole two Alto vehicles from Kullan and Gagangeer areas of the same town.
Meanwhile, a police official said they are ascertaining the facts and a case under relevant sections of law has been registered while further investigation was going on.
Meanwhile, district Police Ganderbal has sought the help of the general public to identify suspected burglars wanted by the Police Station Kangan in burglary of multiple shops at Kangan market.
During the course of the investigation, Police have collected the CCTV footage regarding the incident and obtained photographs of the suspect.
