Srinagar: Police in Sopore arrested five bootleggers and recovered illicit liquor from their possession.
A police party from Police Station Dangiwacha under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad established a checkpoint at Dangiwacha. During checking of vehicles, an i-20 vehicle bearing registration number JK13F-2783 with five persons on board was intercepted and during search illicit liquor was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 58/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Dangiwacha and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
