Awantipora: Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddlers from Awantipora area on Friday, police said.
During vehicular checking at naka Kaigam Crossing, Police party of Police Station Awantipora arrested 02 drug peddlers identified as Irfan Rafiq Sheikh son of Mohd Rafiq Sheikh, resident of Kakarhama Old Town Baramullah and Mudasir Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat, resident of Mir Sahab Mohalla Old Town Baramullah.
The arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle Maruti 800 which was signaled to stop and during through search 01 Kg 400gm of Charas was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the vehicle, police officials told Kashmir Reader.
Vehicle Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK05D-5197 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 38/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
