PM-SEHAT to register every beneficiary

SRINAGAR: To make wider reach out of Government of India’s flagship scheme of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY / SEHAT, Gaon Gaon Ayushman’, initiative that aims to register every single eligible beneficiary has been kick started. Under the initiative, about 7 VLEs stations at every Gram Panchayat will work for 5 days to ensure 100% registration of the population.
According to the spokesperson, the initiative shall be under the supervision of Worthy BDC Chairmen and Sarpanchs are expected to mobilize community and ensure no person in their respective Panchayat remains unregistered.
“This is a one time opportunity for all of us to work in a coordinated manner and get the entire block registered. Esteemed Block Development Officers and Chief Medical Officers shall coordinate the upward and downward escalation of issues,” it said.
Communication Officer Naureen Raja said that the project will enable easy registration for people to get the golden card. The card holders get up to Rs 5 lakh treatment for free from the government, she said.
As of now scores of people have complained about getting the card and one of them was the delayed registration process, she added.
