Landslides hit Baramulla school, authorities unmoved

BARAMULLA: A government run school building has been damaged due to the landslides followed by heavy rains in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Local people of the Kawhar village of Baramulla said that a heavy landslides hits one of the building of government middle school Kawhar Payeen under zone Fatehgrah past week, resulting the three room building has been damaged and mud including stones and other are inside the class rooms after landslides down its back side wall.
They said that there are more then 170 students enrolled in the school and the damaged building was using for class 1st, 2nd and class 3rd.
The people appealed concern authorities to take immediate steps to clear the debris and for the reconstruction of the building.
Kawhar Payeen is a remote village in revenue block Narvaw under the educational zone Fetehgrah Baramulla.
