SRINAGAR: District Agromet Unit (DAMU), KVK, Kupwara organized Farmers Awareness Programme on “ Role of Weather and Climate in Farm Production” at Town Hall Kupwara under Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (GKMS).
The programme was coordinated by Dr.Raies Ahmad Bhat, Scientist Agronomy & I/C DAMU, KVK Kupwara. Programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Lone as Chief Guest, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Wani as Guest of Honour, Deputy Director IMD, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad and Dr.Latief Ahmed, Expert Agrometeorology SKUAST-K besides the scientific and Non teaching staff of KVK, Kupwara.
More than 60 farmers participated in the awareness programme.
Programme started with the welcome address by Dr. Sajad Mohi ud Din, Sr. Scientist & Head KVK, Kupwara who briefed the participants about the role of weather in Agriculture.
