KKT holds demonstration to mark Bharat Bandh

SRINAGAR: On the eve of the Bharat Bandh, Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Tehreek on Friday held a protest here in Srinagar demanding the Government to revoke new farm laws.
The members from Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Tehreek assembled here in press enclave and chanting the Slogans in favour of the Indian farmers.
The members of Jammu and Kisaan Tehreek said that they are protesting against the Central Government of India who have passed three laws in the parliament, we are demanding the government to revoke the new farm laws.
Ghulam Nabi Malik, General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir kisaan Tehreek said the amendment in the labour act and increase in the price of the power supply. We are demanding the revoke of the order.
He said the issue of fair price for their produce by ensuring a minimum support price for all crops has been a long pending demand of kissans. The government must include Basmati, Saffron, fresh and dry fruit in MSP. This legitimate demand despite repeated assurances has not been conceded till date. Unjustified price rise in petrol, diesel and LPG have created havoc for common people.
