Two drug peddlers arrested in Awantipora, cannabis recovered

Awantipora: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Awantipora Police on Tuesday arrested two more drug peddlers near Reshipora Bund area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The two arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Parvez Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan Sheikh and Amir Maqbool son of Mohammed Maqbool Bhat both residents of Reshipora Awantipora and were arrested while they were travelling on motorcycle JK18-0221, police told Kashmir Reader.
04 Kgs of contraband substances grinded Cannabis was recovered from their possession.
The motorcycle used for the commission of the offence has also been seized.
In this regard, a Case FIR Number 32/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
General Public of Awantpora, Tral , Pampore and Khrew are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in the neighborhood area. Persons found indulging in drug peddlers will be dealt strictly under law.
