SRINAGAR: The Hoteliers Association on Tuesday met Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mr Athar Amir Khan at SMC headquarters here at Karan Nagar.
The members from Kashmir Hoteliers And Restaurant Association KHARA apprised Commssioner SMC of the issues being faced by the Hoteliers and Restaurants in Srinagar.
In the meeting disscussion on improvement of sanitation , Solid Waste Management and upgradation of tourism infrastructure was disscussed at length.
Discussion on litterfree ‘ Bin free initiative of SMC focusing on segregation of waste and 100 % door to door collection was also held.
On the occassion Hoteliers Association extended due cooperation and support to the initiative of SMC .
Commissioner SMC highlighted that there is a need to work jointly for ensuring Srinagar city is tourist friendly and to ensure that Hotel and tourism industry flourishes in Srinagar.
