Srinagar: Goni Khan Traders Association in Srinagar Saturday announced its new President and General Secretary.
In a statement, Goni Khan Traders Association said Mir Muzamil son/of Mohammad Yaqoob Mir proprietor of Ladies First was declared as new President of Goni Khan Traders Association and Jalal Din Mir son/of Ghulam Rasool Mir proprietor of Landmark was declared as new General Secretary of the association. “Both were declared winners as a result of unopposed contestants,” the statement added.
It’s Chief Election Commissioner vide its previous notification no 101/GTA/21-22 dated 2 March 2021 had announced the schedule of General Elections to elect President & General Secretary of Goni Khan Traders Association.”
The Association said that only two nominations were filed and one each for the post of President and General Secretary. “After scrutiny of papers, both the applicants were found correct. After the completion of withdrawals of nomination papers which was on 11 March 2021 up to 3 p.m.,” the Association added.
