Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing Inter Zone Sports Meet-2021 at Jammu from 13th to 16th March 2021. J&K Police has many achievements in sports to its credit. The players of J&K Police Central Sport Teams have performed with distinction in All India Police Championships at National/International level competitions.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has over the years been organizing Inter Zone Sports Meet as part of its Annual Sports Calendar. The main objective for conducting this Sports Meet is to spot and select players from all the wings of J&K police so that they must be included in the J&K Police Central Sports Teams in order represent J&K Police at State and National level competitions.
J&K Police has successfully organized (14) Mega Sports Events of National Level, last one being 19th All India Police Band competition-2018 at Jammu during February 2019. Due to covid-19 pandemic, our annual sports calendar was disrupted, however during the year 2020 (October) we have organized Jashn-e-Dal at Srinagar. Moreover, we are going to conduct All India Police Judo Cluster-2020-21 at Jammu during the month of December-2021. J&K Police is upgrading its sports infrastructure and equipment in a phased manner. Modern facilities are being made available to our J&K Police CSTs.
Inter Zone Sports Meet is a step further to promote Sports Culture among our personnel, belonging to different parts of UT and representing their Wings/Units/Districts located in different parts within the UT. They also get an opportunity to share their cultural heritage.
The Inter Zone Sports Meet-2021 is starting on 13th March and will culminate on 16th March-2021.
