International Women’s Day Celebrated at Kangan

Ganderbal: On the International Women’s Day, the Department of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Project Kangan organized a one-day program in collaboration with NRLM National Rural Livelihood Mission Block Kangan at ICDS office Kangan on Monday.
The theme for the program to mark this year’s International Women’s Day was “ is Anemia free Kashmir”.
The program proceedings included panel discussions and speeches by various experts.
Rubeena Hameed, CDPO ICDS Project Kangan in her speech talked about the rights of women and highlighted the significance of International Women’Day
She said stressed on the need for close co-operation of various stakeholders to ensure justice, equality and non-discrimination of women in the society.
She assured the support of ICDS in every endeavor that will promote women empowerment.
A SHG member Bisma Nazir in her address emphasized on the need to give women equal space and opportunity in every field so that they can showcase their talent and abilities.
The Anganwadi Workers, Helpers and SHG member’s actively participated in the event.
