BARAMULLA: Mother of senior journalist of north Kashmir Nisar Ahmad Yatoo passed away on Sunday after a brief illness, family sources said.
They said that she breathed her last at her residence at Biner area of Baramulla where she had been sick for the past few days.
Her funeral prayers were held at her residence in which a large number of people including scores of journalists across north Kashmir participated. The members of Baramulla working journalist association (BWJA) and other organisations also participated in the funeral prayers and expressed their deep sympathies with the bereaved family and with journalist Nisar.
