KUPWARA: A body of a middle aged person was found in the bus stand Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday morning, police said.
They said that some locals spotted the dead body of a person at the bus stand Handwara and they informed the police. Soon after information a team of Handwara police reached the spot and shifted the body to nearby hospital for identification and examination, where the deceased was identified as Mohammad Amin Tantary son of Abdul Jabar Tantary of Khnabal Handwara.
Sources said that there were several injury marks on the body and police started further investigation.
Doctors at SDH Handwara said that they conducted his postmortem and samples have been sent for further investigation.
Body was later handed over to his family for last rites.
