Cab driver injured in road accident at Galander Pampore

PAMPORE: A cb driver was critically injured on Monday after the vehicle he was driving turned turtle near Galander area of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
Local residents told Kashmir Reader that the accident took place on Monday morning when the Sumo vehicle skidded off the road.
“It was a miracle that the Sumo didn’t fall into a nearby canal and it just clinged to its embankments,” they said.
SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan told Kashmir Reader that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03A/4826 without travellers turned turtle after driver lost the control near Galander Pampore, resulting into injuries to Sumo driver identified as Abdul Hameed Shah son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Anantnag.
He was brought to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment, where he referred to Srinagar for further treatment.
In this regard police have taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigation.
