4 Covid deaths in J&K, 88 new cases

Srinagar: Four Covid-19 related deaths were recorded in Jammu and Kashmir during the past 24 hours up to Friday evening, two from Jammu division and two from Kashmir division. Two of the deceased were residents of Budgam district and two were residents of Jammu district.
The number of fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours was 88, of which 46 were from Kashmir division and 42 from Jammu division.
Srinagar reported 18 new cases while Jammu district reported 32 new cases. Kulgam reported 2, Anantnag 4, Shopian zero, Ganderbal 4, Bandipora 2, Budgam 5, Baramulla 4, Pulwama 4 and Kupwara 3.
In Jammu division, the five districts of Kathua, Kishtwar, Reasi, Ramban, and Samba reported zero new cases while Udhampur reported 2, Rajouri 3, Doda 1, and Poonch 4.
A total of 1,928 Covid-19 patients have died in Jammu and Kashmir so far. Of these deaths, 1,209 have been in Kashmir division and 719 in Jammu division.
Officials said that 97 infected patients recovered and were discharged from hospital during the past 24 hours, including 67 from Kashmir and 30 from Jammu division.
J&K currently has 1,098 active cases, of which 701 are from Kashmir and 397 from Jammu division.
