‘Fragile nature of peace major stumbling block in the development of JK‘

SRINAGAR: Terming the development in Jammu and Kashmir dependent on the peaceful atmosphere, District Development Council (DDC) member from Wagoora constituency Safeena Beigh said ,” peace is fragile and ultimately effects the development of this region. Talking to reporters during her visit to sub district hospital Kreeri, she said post abrogation of Article 370 and the outbreak of Covid-19 had seriously effected the developmental work on various state and centre sponsored projects.
After taking stock of the health facilities being provided by the SDH Kreeri, She said that the Health sector of our country is not upto satisfactory mark and particularly in jammu and Kashmir people have to face additional health issues. Safeena beigh asserted on District administration that health sector being an important and a collective human issue should be taken on top priority .Block medical officer apprised DDC member about various medical facilities and lack of sophisticated equipments responsible for smooth functioning of the hospital.
There is a lack of proper space, dearth of specialized doctors,mechinary equipments in the hospital that has a large flow of patients. Safeena beigh advised concerned BMO to make a brief of all medical and infrastructural related issues so that they should be taken with district administration at earliest and in case district administration fails in sorting out our issues, we will approach LG administration accordingly. she also visited Wagoora and took stock of various developmental projects being taken under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY) scheme. She requested the District administration that the work on the hospital building in Wagoora construted under SAGY scheme which has been halted to some reason be started again on priority as the people of the entire area are facing serious problems.
