Dir Agriculture inspects dev activities at JPAE Farm, NVPGH, & Floriculture Nursery

JAMMU: Director Agriculture Production & Farmer Welfare Jammu, Inderjeet today inspected Jammu Province Agriculture Experimental Farm (JPAEF), Naturally Ventilated Poly Green House (NVPGH) and Floriculture Development Nursery (FDN) at Krishi Bhawan Talab Tillo.
He took stock of various field activities being untaken there for hosting demonstrations for visiting farmers from different districts.
Joint Directors, B. K. Chandan; K. K. Sharma; B.D. Sharma, Shahid Iqbal; Deputy Director Agriculture (Central), R. K. Hitashi; Agronomist (Vegetable Improvement Scheme), J. C. Raina; Chief Agriculture Officers, Sectoral Heads and other senior officers and staff of Vegetable Improvement scheme were present on the occasion.
Director Agriculture planted a Chinar tree at the JPAE Farm where method of preparing Jivamrit-Bio manure was also demonstrated. It was informed that about 13 Kanal Spinach, 5 Kanal Coriander, 11 Kanals Radish are being raised at JPAE Farm during current Rabi season.
Inder Jeet also inaugurated a new Tubular Poly Structure for raising flower seedlings and ornamental plant nursery. He inspected the Progeny Herbal Garden where exotic vegetables, medicinal and herbal plants are being raised under protected conditions of NVPGH. It was given out that 5.30 Lakhs seedlings have been distributed to the vegetable growers of Jammu Province during Rabi 2020-21.
