Baramulla: A leopard cub was crushed to death by a vehicle on Thursday morning near Gantamulla area on the Baramulla-Uri road. Just a few days ago, a leopard cub was crushed to death by a vehicle in south Kashmir.
Locals said that they found the crushed body of a leopard cub on the road in the morning. They added that accidents happen on the road on a daily basis as vehicles are driven too fast without care for the consequences.
A team of wildlife officials took the body of the cub into their custody for legal formalities.
The Wildlife Department’s Range Officer for Baramulla, Mohammad Altaf Koul, said that a report has been registered in the nearby police station and the body of the cub has been buried.
