SRINAGAR: A major fire erupted at a Srinagar Development Area complex located at Batamaaloo in which some wholesale apparel shops along with offices of pharmaceutical companies got damaged.
According to eyewitnesses the fire erupted in the first floor of the Doodh Ganga Plaza Complex that houses several shops of readymade garment dealers in the afternoon.
Soon the locals and vendors tried to douse the flames with the arrival firefighters and the blaze was fought; however, the blaze reached the second floor where offices of pharmacy companies too suffered damages with their stocks also being damaged by the blaze and the water jets of fire fighters.
