Atal Dulloo visits Bandipora District Hospital, reviews shifting process

Bandipora: Financial Commissioner (FC) Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo Thursday paid a visit to New District Hospital Bandipora to review the shifting process and assess the infrastructural needs of the hospital.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed and Director Health Services Kashmir and Chief Medical Officer Bandipora Dr Bashir Ahmad.
On the occasion, Atal Dulloo said several sections of the District hospital are in the process of shifting to new complex while several sections have already been shifted.
He said the government will help in improving the infrastructure of the hospital at par with other major Health institutions of the valley. He said dialysis machines, X-Ray, laboratories and operation theatres have been installed in the hospital but needs further improvement. He said focuss is being laid on improvement of operation theatres, laboratories, Intensive Care Unit and installation of Digital X-Ray machines, Dialysis machines and Ventilators.
He further said that utilization of old building will be done as per plan submitted by District Administration which includes establishing Medical Board for Specially abled, Deputy Chief Medical Officers’ Office and Block Medical Officers’ Office besides Physiotherapy section.
The Financial Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of District Administration Bandipora in fast tracking the completion of building of new District Hospital. He further directed for early completion of main Lift, heating arrangements in OT, installation of ETP plants, installation of dustbins, repair work inside blood bank , making Usg/ X-ray , other new machines functional, furniture within minimum possible timelines.
He assured every possible support from the government to make the hospital fully operational and bringing the healthcare facility at par with other major healthcare institutions of the state.
