Srinagar athlete gets ‘Youth Icon Award’ from APA

Srinagar: An engineering student, who is also an athlete and the country Incharge of International Youth United (IYU), from Srinagar has been felicitated with a “Youth Icon Award” by the Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Association of People of Asia (APA).
Ehtisham Khan, son of Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Firdaus Abad in Batamaloo area of Srinagar has been awarded keeping in view his contribution and participation in the field of sports, social work and his representation of the country at different international platforms.
Award to Khan was given out by the Chairman of APA for Jammu and Kashmir, Showkat Ashai. APA is an international non-profit organization with a stated mission to promote peace, social and community betterment.
Khan, while talking to Kashmir Reader, expressed his joy and gratitude for being facilitated. “I am delighted that I have been chosen for the award,” he said. He is pursuing an engineering degree from Yogananda College of Engineering in Jammu and has been involved in Sports like snow skiing, mountain biking, marathon running and rock climbing.
According to Khan he has recently been appointed as the country in-charge of IYU, a mission-based and youth-led organization dedicated to enforce human rights and ensure community development.
Khan claimed the he has also been selected as representative, delegate at various international platforms like the world youth rally, Seoul South Korea International Young Leaders Assembly, USA, Future Leaders Congress and more.
