Police arrest 4 gamblers in Pampore village, stake money recovered

Pampore: Police on Saturday arrested four gamblers in Pampore village area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and recovered a stake money from their possession.
Police Pampore arrested four gamblers at a public place at Bagander village of Pampore and recovered stake money of Rs 13,000 from their possession, SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad told Kashmir Reader.
Acting on specific information about gambling, a police party of police station Pampore headed by SHO police station Pampore Manzoor Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad raided the gambling spot at public place Bagander, Pampore and arrested four gamblers.
Stake money of Rs 13,330 and packet of playing cards have been recovered from the possession of the arrested persons from the place of the gambling,” a police officer told Kashmir Reader.
The arrested gamblers have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Kadlabal Pampore, Adil Maqbool Dar, son of Mohammad Maqbool, resident of Namlabal Pampore, Mehraj Ud Din Ganaie, son of Mohammad Shaban, resident of Kadlabal Pampore and Fayaz Ahmad Hajam, son Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Kadlabal Pampore
In this regard, a case FIR number 97/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pampore.
wGeneral Public of the Pampore area has hailed the police Pampore action against social crimes.
