Plantation drive held at MET Sopore campus

Srinagar: Special forest range Sopore held a plantation drive at MET School Sopore in Baramulla district on Saturday.
The plantation programme was held in collaboration with forest department Kashmir and in association of school administration and sopore police as part of the “Green J&K Drive 2020”.
During the programme SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal and various officials from the forest department planted deedar saplings.
Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Sopore said that the trees are the lifeline of all the living beings and plantation is the only way to stop climate change.
During the drive, about 100 saplings of different species were planted in the premises of MET Campus.
