Kishanganga, Dulhasti power stations observe 46th NHPC raising day

SRINAGAR: Kishanganga Power Station in Bandipora and Dulhasti Power Station on Saturday celebrated the 46th Raising Day of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) by organizing a Blood Donation Camp and Plantation drive in the district.
The General Manager (HOP), Ashish Kumar Chouksey, inaugurated the Raising Day ceremony by lighting the lamp along with other senior officials.
On this occasion, the Kishanganga Power Station officials pledge for serve the nation and Jammu & Kashmir by providing much needed power in addition to extending helping hand to the local people.
Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was organized to commemorate NHPC Raising Day. The officers and staff members including women from the project families participated in the blood donation camp with enthusiasm.
Later a plantation drive was undertaken at large scale on the barren area near TRT outlet.
Meanwhile Dulhasti Power Station celebrated 46th NHPC Raising Day on with great fervor & enthusiasm. The 46th NHPC Raising Day ceremony began with hoisting of NHPC flag by Nirmal Singh, General Manager (In-charge) and singing of NHPC song by employees. Speaking on the occasion, General
Manager (In-Charge) Nirmal Singh greeted everyone and called upon everyone to work hard and diligently to take NHPC to new heights of progress. Earlier, Nirmal Singh also planted a sapling in the Chenab Bhawan premises of Dulhasti Power Station.
The employees of Dulhasti Power Station presented melodious cultural program in the ceremony. On this occasion, General Manager (In-charge), Dulhasti Power Station honored the specially-invited local media persons/journalists by presenting mementos. In the end of the program, Nirmal Singh and his wife Harjinder Kaur also distributed prizes to the participants of the cultural program.
Ashok Kumar Dhanwal, Senior Manager (HR) presented vote of thanks. Special invitee on the occasion P.V. Jain, Chief General Manager, Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project, S.P. Puri, General Manager (Civil), Kwar Hydroelectric Project were also present at the function.
On this occasion, R. N. Sharma, Deputy General Manager (Civil), G.C. Sinha, Deputy General Manager(Electrical), Gursharan Singh, Deputy General Manager (Electrical), along with other senior officers and employees of Dulhasti Power Station and their family members were also present.
