SRINAGAR: Closing ceremony of “Martyr” Raja Saleem Anwar Memorial Cricket Tournament organized by Bandipora police was today held S.K Stadium Bandipora.
ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak chaired the event ,DYSP Hqr Bandipora ,DYSP DAR were also present on the occasion. The final match was played between BCC Bandipora and DPL Cricket team. The week long event in which 12 teams participated was formally inaugurated on 21 October 2020. The tournament was played on knockout basis.
ASP in his address to the participants said that police is providing many opportunities to the youths to showcase their talents, be it organizing sports events or other talent hunt initiatives.He emphasized upon them to nurture their talent and channelize their energy in more positive way.
Later on a prize distribution ceremony was held and cash prizes of Rs 20,000 and 10,000 was given to winner up team and runner up respectively along with trophies and appreciation certificates.
