Auqaf Trust Pampore starts diagnostic centre

Free investigations for poor, 50 percent off for others

Pampore: Idara Auqaaf Islamia Trust Pampore on Sunday officially inaugurated a diagnostic centre at Drangbal area of the Saffron town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Mirwaiz Maulana Riyaz Hamdani, who was chief guest on the occasion, threw open the diagnostic centre open for the general public.
Advocate Mohammad Maqbool, president Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust (IAIT) Pampore, told Kashmir Reader that the main motive behind starting the diagnostic centre is to cater to health needs of the poor section of society.
” No fee will be charged for various investigations for poor people,” he said, adding that mere self declaration by a patient will be sufficient for entitling him to free facilities of tests and investigations.
He also announced that for the general public the facilities will be available at the rebate of 50 percent as compared to prevailing market rates.
The President told Kashmir Reader that the laboratory is fully computerised and equipped to carry out all routine investigations.
“We will be updating the centre with more facilities including diagnostics required for USG and those required for carrying thyroid and Vitamin D investigations,” the President told.
The diagnostic centre was scheduled to inaugurate in April but was delayed to COVID -19.
The Mirwaiz and other dignitaries appreciated IAIT Pampore for taking an initiative for serving mankind.
Besides various diagnostic services, the IAIT Pampore provides free medicine to poor patients who suffer from various chronic diseases.
“We will also arrange free consultation by competent doctors at the centre,” the authorities said.
Locals hailed Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore for starting a diagnostic centre for providing free of cost services to poor people of the town and adjacent villages.
