Ganderbal: Scores of Daily wagers Friday locked PDD Division Office Ganderbal to protest against the department for delaying process of forwarding list of daily wagers who have served the department for more than seven years to higher authorities for regularisation.
The protesters alleged that the higher ups of the department are deliberately withholding the list of daily wager employees who deserve to be regularised only to adjust blue-eyed undeserved Daily wagers
The protesting Daily wagers said that their colleagues have even died in the line of duty due to the electric shock but still the administration pays no heed to them. They said we have been working in this department for more than 15 years yet to be regularized
President of PDD Daily wagers union Ganderbal Fayaz Ahamd said, permanent employees of the Divsion office Ganderbal are creating hurdles in submission of casual labourers list to higher authorities for regularisation. They have vested interested in doing so.
The protesters demanded that nearly 700 casual employees in the Division transmission Ganderbal should be forwarded to higher authorities and seek release our wages on fast track bases
The Daily wagers protesters said that they have locked down the office of PDD as a mark of protest to press the authorities to solve long pending demands.
