Militant associate arrested in Pampore: Police

BARAMULLA: A Lashker-e-Toiba associate involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to militants has been arrested in Saffron town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Saturday.
According to police officials, security forces arrested a militant associate of proscribed outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the Lashkar-e-Toiba militants as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition of the militants in Pampore, Khrew and Kakapora areas, a police officer told Kashmir Reader.
He has been identified as Haris Shareef Rather, resident of Zaffron Colony Pampore.
Police said that incriminating material has also been recovered from him which has been seized for the record purpose.A Case FIR number 84/2020 under relevant sections of Unlawful Activities Act has been registered in Police Station Pampore. Further investigation is going on, police said.
