Inspects on pace of work on1000 MW Pakal-Dul HEP carried

KISHTWAR: Additional District Development Commissioner, (ADDC) Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik visited site of 1000 MW Pakal -Dul, Hydroelectric project here at village Dangduroo and reviewed the progress of work besides redressed many grievances of workers there.
He was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar Dr. R S Manhass, CGM, Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP), P.B.Jain, and other officers/officials.
The CGM informed that the construction of Pakal Dul Hydro-electric Project at an estimated cost of Rs 8112.12 cr was started in the year 2018 and is targeted to be completed in 66 months. He said with the resumption of the developmental work post un-lockdown period, the developmental works of this mega project has gained momentum.
During the interaction with project authorities and officers at Dangduroo, the ADDC stressed to ensure observance of COVID19 protocols and other SOPs like universal usage of mask and the maintenance of the social distancing at the work place in letter and Spirit.
He exhorted upon the authorities to conduct the COVID 19 testing of all working labourers before joining the newly resumed works ] to safeguard them against the infection. He stressed the concerned authorities to ensure that all safety measures be placed in at the work place by providing all the safety equipments.
On the issue of providing the lodging and boarding facility to all the workers including the local workers, he emphasised the general manager to arrange the same.
Furthermore, he also took stock of the progress of ongoing works in the mega project and stressed the CGM to meet the deadlines set for all works so that the project may be completed well in time.
