Takes stock of sprinkle water system

PAMPORE: Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi on Tuesday visited International Spice Park Dusoo Pampore and also took stock of the sprinkle water system in the saffron fields.
Director, Agriculture, Kashmir, Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, also held a meeting with concerned Agriculture Officials .During the visit All Saffron growers association president Abdul Majeed Wani present during the meeting.
While talking with Kashmir Reader Director Agriculture Syed Aijaz Andrabi said since the Saffron harvest season has begun and people would start harvesting the saffron crop the preparedness of the spice park needed to be checked so that the saffron growers did not face any problem in fetching good money to their crop.
He told that it needed to be evaluated how many people would be catered.
“ the saffron growers have high hopes from the spice park and that need to be kept in order to let the faith prevail in this crop that was almost lost,” he said.
Pampore spice park has been established as per International standards and has rejuvenated hopes of Saffron growers who had been in desperation from last few years due to adulteration and low yield.
